I believe it was 1980 or 81, I was sitting on the beach with 3 friends, staring out at the Atlantic ocean. I saw a light in the sky, as high up in the as a star, and as far away as the horizon. It was descending in a magnetic repulsion type motion, a circular spiral. It was a huge spiral, miles long, very slowly. I pointed it out to my companions who then saw it too. It went down descended over the ocean, and stayed there. It was then joined by two more lights, one from the North, one from the South. They all just hovered, (I assumed hovered) there for a few moments. Then the one that came from the South went South, the one that came from the North went North, and the one that came from above shot straight up they were gone in an instant.
