In 1950, a family in McMinnville, Oregon witnessed a flying disc over their farmhouse. They took several photographs, which were eventually published in life magazine. Many people believed this to be a hoax, while others are convinced it is a true alien encounter. There has been no evidence to suggest whether or not the Trent family hoaxed the photographs they took. The truth is still unknown until this day.

These are real and here's why. The same one was photographed in rouen france 1954. The 1965 rex heflin is similar. If it was faked it would not be happening 3 times in different places of world. Then look at the tic tac ufos off San Diego modern day. Checkout montana ufo video
They never profited off the photo, they never sought notoriety, and to their dying days they insisted the photo was authentic
Radio control.
The craft is legit. On the 10th April 1982, myself and two others saw the same craft or type at 8.45 am on a Saturday morning at close proximity it was brown and black underneath and it tipped on its side and then resumed to fly flat very slow about 40mph. We saw it for about 1 minute until trees obscured our view..i'll never forget it never. Trust me it was exactly the same. This was in Northern Britain.
Beautiful video and great footage! You can also visit our hotel video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAibx6lm4h8
These people were honest, there were farmers, an event that changed their life. They didn’t made any money on this.
If you've been to McMinnville or you know damn well there isn't one person there that is smart enough to fake these, they gotta be legit.
I just seen a UFO with my son here in Silverton OR. It was on 6-25-19 around 5:30 pm that I reported to MUFON. My son seen it first he's a total skeptic very smart and normally would rule it off as a drone or toy. He seen it above our field through our living room window and said "that was weird it looked like a UFO probably a drone" so I looked and didn't see anything and then about a minute later I went outside . I looked up where I thought I was seeing a normal plane which we usually see all the time but every thing changed for me.
The disc was about the size of a fighter jet and began flying upward around a 20° angle and banked right then when it went behind a tree line it literally disappeared. It was a classic disc shape very sleek I seen no markings no wings, tail , wheels it was just a gray disc not shinny but dull.
It made zero noise and since it was so low and since my son seen it first I totally know what I seen ….
We are used to crop dusters and other planes also helicopters cause we live between the Portland airport and Salem's airport in farm land.
Take it or leave it I don't care cause I'm just sharing for others who might be searching for anyone who might have experienced something like me. I'm a Christian and think that UFOs have possible wickedness associated with them or could be technology our government has from things we shouldn't be messing with…..That's just my personal opinion im not placing that on others or preaching I just want folks to know that I'm not a liar period, my son is also brutally honest and a huge skeptic of this crap. We both seen something that was not normal it didn't move like a a man made machine , it change elevation in a strange way….Anyways I'm puzzled by this hope this helps someone out there.
Fake for sure. The antenna is not in the centre and is at an angle. It’s been set up to swing from the wires hence the underneath shot then the slightly above shot.
Here's my best conclusion to this case and photos. Go look up the Battle of Los Angeles photos and find the best ones you can find. Tell me if you don't see the same UFO. The same shape and the antenna sticking up in the middle and bent at the top. To me I'm looking at the same type of UFO or the same one. Even though the Battle of Los Angeles photo is not as clear. You can definitely see the resemblance. No doubt!!! Just check it out for yourself.
It's a truck mirror of the type Trent had on his truck. That's why the "stalk" on top is at an angle. There is also a grub-screw hole through the stem and hang it from one of those overhead lines… using the stepladder. Trent was so excited about his UFO photos that he waited until he had exposed the entire roll of film before getting it exposed. Analysis says it was not early evening when the photos were taken, as Trent averred, but early in the morning (the eastern side of the farm house is illuminated). Analysts have wondered why the underside of the "craft" is so dark. Well, it's a mirror, and it's reflecting the ground.
Angle analysis has also shown that the apparent movement of the saucer is actually Trent kneeling down or moving around. A painstaking French analysis showed that the object actually did not move at all relative to the fixed positions in the farm, i.e., it was just hanging down from the power line.
I would love to think these are real but those power lines cast too much doubt on the issue.
Where did you get the picture's AFTER 0:52 ? Pretty sure those ones are fakes..
it was a probe from alpha centauri!
McMinnville UFO: There is an analysis done by Antoine Cousyn, François Louange and Geoff Quick. According to that it's a model. I think there is also a little bit of optical illusion going because the object is probably an old Ford truck's mirror hanging from the electrical wires, the object is rotated by one axis of the mirror's swiveling pole (the pole is still perpendicular to the electrical wires above). That would be the simplest explanation without requiring multiple models.
The Trent photo case is one of the few cases regarded as a compleat enigma in modern ufology. Under strict computer analysis, some conclusions can be drawn.
1. The object is truelly there as seen in the picture.
2. The original photo film was not tampered with.
3. The object is substantial in size.
A hoax , a new french documentary says. (in "dossiers surnaturels", 2014 )
Odd place for a high step ladder.
