Obviously UFO photos can be faked just like a photo of anything can be faked these days. It doesn't mean that every photo is faked either. UFOs exist by definition. Are we alone in the universe? Of course not! To think that 'we' are the pinnacle of civilisation (humanity isn't even civilised, not even a class 1 civilisation) is the most absurd and arrogant statement ever said. In a galaxy with billions of solar systems of trillions of galaxies in the universe it is the single most egotistical and ignorant thing you could ever think. Do other civilisations have the ability to visit here? Of course they do. Millions have had personal experience of that and that's been going on forever, its not something new. Well, you have historical sightings and an odd photograph. Go back further and we have just reported sightings. Yes you can fake anything but there's too much, so much so that there's is the % that will be real. We don't go around looking up at the sky 24 hrs a everyday, in fact, we only register it as a marker and is on and in our periphery though it takes up a good chunk of our visual real estate.

Shermer has once again argued from ignorance while lying by omission. (1.) He gave Molnar only one photo of the Trindade sequence of six, taken in front of forty scientists on January 16th, 1958 on a geo-survey ship. By doing so he intentionally biased Molnar's evaluation which is deception by omission. (2.) He showed only one of five UFO photos George Stock took in 1952, ten days after the famous UFO wave over Washington D.C. The Press filmed and photographed ten UFOs. All but one photo was confiscated by the FBI. Shermer appears ignorant of those facts. (3.) If Dr. Molnar examined so many UFOs, then he has probably examined the Trindade photos and is himself deceiving the viewer. These are the desperate acts of charlatans

Yes, off course, you can fake UFO photos You could prove the same way pictures of airplanes can be faked with models. But it doesn't say every picture of an airplane is a fake. I hardly care about individual UFO photo's without any context. UFO research isn't only about photo's, it's about investigating a vast complex of different kinds of evidence and you it fits into the big picture. When it comes to testimony, when a lot of people all together tell different pieces of a story which match up with each other, the backgrounds of these persons is solid and there are no good reasons why they would lie then at some point it becomes incredibly unlikely that they are all lying or delusional. Not impossible maybe, just very unlikely. I just go with the conclusion that is most likely to be true (occam's razor).

Pilots have seen "mysterious things" before and upon more investigation have been found as natural phenomena. Even the best observers can be tricked and I din't say I was smarter than anyone.

yeah but none of those supposed videos are ever found or are found out to be natural phenomena. I always hear claims about fighter jets seeing things and they say they have video evidence but when I ask for it or look for it I don't get an answer. Its the same thing with the Alien hybrid theory there hasn't been an proof of it ( top UFO guys were actually caught lying about it as once they were challenged to produce evidence they never revealed any of it or used it as a reason)
